Spot Welder – 1st ShiftLocation: Evendale, OHPay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Spot Welder to join our Sheet Metal department in Evendale. This is a first-shift opportunity with steady weekday hours and little to no overtime.The Spot Welder is responsible for fabricating equipment using resistance (spot) welding techniques on various metals. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceive and review instructions, blueprints, and work ordersPlan work procedures, tools, and material requirementsClean and prepare metal surfaces for weldingSet up, assemble, and weld parts using resistance (spot) welding equipmentBuild up worn or defective metal surfaces as neededPull industrial plastic coating off metal sheets to prepare for fabricationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaComplete required documentation accurately and efficientlyQualificationsAt least 1 year of spot welding experience requiredAbility to read a ruler and micrometerKnowledge of measuring tools including dial calipers and squaresAbility to read and interpret blueprints and procedural instructionsBasic math skillsGood attendance and positive attitudeAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environmentStrong communication skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. consistently and repetitivelyFrequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and overhead workAbility to perform precision work where errors could result in material damageComfortable working in a semi-climate-controlled shop environment
