Are you a safety-conscious and detail-oriented Spotter ready to join a team that values efficiency, teamwork, and professionalism? DIHO Consulting is hiring experienced spotters to support warehouse and yard operations for our client in Rayville, Louisiana. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trucks and trailers within the facility.
What You'll Do in This Role
As a Spotter, you will be responsible for coordinating and guiding truck movements in the yard, assisting drivers during backing and docking, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. This role is on-site and requires strong attention to safety and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Safely guide and direct trucks and trailers during backing, docking, and yard maneuvers.
Communicate clearly with drivers and yard personnel using hand signals or radios.
Inspect yard areas for hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with trailer placement and ensure proper alignment at loading docks.
Perform routine checks on yard equipment and report any issues promptly.
Support warehouse team with loading/unloading or staging materials when required.
Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and yard activity.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum 1+ year of experience in warehouse, yard, or logistics operations.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).
Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
Basic understanding of yard operations and trailer handling.
Flexible availability: able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
