If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your application and we will reach out shortly.Nature of Work:Responsible for the successful prevention and/or treatment of pest and disease presence on commercial landscape.Essential Functions of the Job:Perform fertilization, herbicide and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipmentCalculate product and carrier quantitiesProperly mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various types of application equipmentSafe Handling and use of all chemicalsProperly complete required paperworkRequirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:At least 2 years of commercial pesticide operator experienceAs required by state and federal lawValid driver license issued by the state where employedPesticide License issued by the state where employed, preferredStrong sense of customer service and urgencyAbility to prioritize multiple tasksOrganizational SkillsFlexibilityBasic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookEffective oral and written communicationAbility to read, write and comprehend EnglishBi-lingual English/Spanish a plusAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule formatPhysical Demands and Work Conditions:Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walkMust be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focusFrequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controlsFrequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balanceOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move up to 75 poundsOccasionally works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditionsFrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicalsOccasionally exposed to loud noise levelsTotal Rewards:At Monarch, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain top talent.
