Job description
Fabric CutterPosition Overview: Measure and cut fabric at a sufficient pace to keep the cutter working continuously. Lay fabrics according to the marker info, and established spreading guidelines Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am $18.55/hourEssential Job Functions: Process markers following priorities set on your inbox Gathering material from location or from material handler (in the case of material handler absence) Measuring and preparing table for cutting Lifting rolls of material into cradle Set up machine with lengths and number of layers Follow all guidelines for equipment preventative maintenance Follow all safety guidelines in place Be able to identify good side vs bad side, material flaws, and different color shades of fabric Partner with the cutting operator to set up spreads to the cutting machineTraining: On the job training; must be fast-paced Qualifications: Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience: 0 – 1 years in similar field Must be able to stand for duration of shift, and able to lift heavy bundles up to 50 pounds Problem solving, positive attitude, teamwork, dependability, initiative, and accuracy
