Senior Spring Coiling TechnicianHouston, TX | Full-Time | Direct Hire | 100% OnsitePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Spring Coiler / Senior Spring Coiling Technician / Lead Coiler to join a precision manufacturing operation producing high-volume coil springs for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications.This is a specialized spring-coiling position—not a CNC machining role. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience and be capable of independently setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and operating spring-coiling equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, and operate Simco, Torin, Wafios, or comparable spring-coiling equipmentConvert straight metal wire into precision coil springsPerform complete machine setups, adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshootingProgram and adjust PLC-based systemsTroubleshoot mechanical and production issuesWork in a high-volume production environmentTrain and support less-experienced operators as neededMust-Have Qualifications3+ years of direct spring-coiling setup experienceHands-on experience setting up spring-coiling machinesAbility to independently set up and run a coiling machineStrong understanding of the spring-coiling processExperience converting straight wire into precision coil springsExperience with Simco, Torin, Wafios, or comparable coiling equipmentPLC programming/machine-control experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsHigh-volume manufacturing experienceCompensation & Benefits$28–$35/hour for experienced/journeyman-level candidatesUp to approximately $40/hour for top-tier, setup-level coilersPerformance-based bonus tied to company profitabilityMedical, dental, and vision benefitsRetirement benefitsPaid time offAdditional company benefitsSchedule & Work Environment5:00 AM–2:30 PM or 6:00 AM–2:00 PMSchedule flexibility availableApproximately 5–8 hours of overtime per week when available; not guaranteed100% onsiteManufacturing/shop environmentPhysically demanding environment, including exposure to heatWe are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, take ownership of their work, and grow with the organization.We look forward to your application!
