Dean, we are committed to building the next generation of technical leaders in electrical, engineering, and cybersecurity industries.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee comprehensive inspection, advanced testing, and in-depth troubleshooting of various sprinkler and preaction systems and their components.Perform inspections and testing of fire alarm, special hazard systems, kitchen hoods and preaction systems.Independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance.Manage and maintain detailed records of service activities, including detailed reports, system analyses, and recommendations for improvements.Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and support in executing service tasks.Participate in project planning, system design, and implementation efforts to enhance sprinkler systems functionality.Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver seamless service, address system deficiencies, and optimize performance.Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes to uphold compliance and industry standards.Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality service delivery, and customer satisfaction in all service activities.Conduct site survey to sprinkler systems upgrade and bringing systems up to code, develop corresponding bill of materials, labor projection and scheduleCreate redline drawings for as-built preparationLead sprinkler projects of various sized and complexityPlan, lead and perform five years internal sprinkler inspection and testingTroubleshoot complex fire suppression and sprinkler issuesPerform pre-testing and final acceptance testing with Fire Marshal for assigned projects;Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, building managers, and other customer representatives;Read and interpret wiring diagrams, work orders, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.Maintain truck inventory;Be on rotation to respond to afterhours service calls as scheduled by supervisor;Pursue and maintain industry certifications, as well as grow technical and customer service skills with active support from MCDean.Conduct sprinkler system survey to identify system condition, comlience with various NFPA codes and another applicable codes and regulations, analyse coverage, functionality, provide assessment and recommendation for system perfromance improviment and life prolongationEnsure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.Perform online research, installation manuals, manufacture manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures;QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED (required) with 8 + years of relevant experience or2 years technology degree and 6 + years of relevant experienceThis position has been identified as requiring an additional client background checkCertificationsNICET II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems orPass NICET II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems exam within 90 days of employmentState Backflow Certification (Preferred)Fire Pump Test Certification (Preferred)Required Skills and CompetenciesAbove average level of attention to detail and professional work ethic.Commitment to excellence and a high quality of work.Knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 13, NEC, Fire Sprinkler System Theory, OSHA Requirements and Industry Standards for Fire sprinkler systems installationAbility to function in a controlled, effective manner under stress.Strong desire to continuously increase your skill set and take on more responsibility.Above average communication skills with customers, other field personnel, office staff and sub-contractorsExcellent decision-making skills.Strong leadership skillsAbilitiesThe position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to (50 pounds) on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
