Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected base salary of up to 130,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries, researching expense variances, and resolving data discrepancies.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure account balances align with expected results.
Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and exhibits accurately and on time.
Complete and submit assigned regulatory filings in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs and propose solutions to improve general ledger accuracy.
Requirements Demonstrate strong understanding of GAAP and/or statutory accounting principles.
Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats across departments.
Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a willingness to work extra hours when needed.
Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems like Oracle and Hyperion.
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive and relevant accounting experience.
Possess strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Identify and implement process improvements and complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Hold a CPA license and have prior insurance industry experience (preferred).
