nJob Description Summary

nThe Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting activities supporting Par Health’s manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and internal controls, partnering closely with plant and corporate finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

nEssential Functions

nnnResponsible for general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory transactions, invoice management, and other normal financial close activities.

n

nnExecute and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting analyses.

n

nnEnsure the manufacturing facilities are compliant with GAAP and company financial policies/procedures.

n

nnAssist with requests to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to ensure internal controls are functioning properly.

nnPrepare and review various government reports.

n

nnProvide support for external/internal audit requests as required.

n

nnPlan and guide activities in support of capital investments and fixed asset counts.

n

nnResearch and resolve accounting issues and provide recommendations.

n

nnDrive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

n

nnPrepare and provide information as required to support ad-hoc reporting for corporate and plant finance teams.

n

nnParticipate in corporate and site meetings and activities as required.

n nRequirements Education / Experience / Skills

nnnMinimum of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university with emphasis in Accounting.

n

nn3 years of accounting experience preferred.

n

nnThorough working knowledge of GAAP.

n

nnExcellent time management skills.

n

nnExcellent communication skills (verbal and written).

n

nnAbility to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization regarding accounting and finance.

n

nnStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

n

nnIntermediate skills using Microsoft Office applications, with Copilot experience preferred.

n

nnExperience with enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, BPCS or other AS400 systems preferred.

n

nnMust be able to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.

n nOrganizational Relationship/Scope

nThis role reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates cross-functionally with plant controllers, operations leadership, and corporate finance teams. The position operates in a hybrid work environment based in Hazelwood, MO.
