Accounts Payable SpecialistABOUT GOLDEN STATE FOODS Golden State Foods is a distinguished leader in the food service industry, offering an extensive array of products and services to a diverse clientele. Ensures accuracy, data integrity, thoroughness, and timeliness. Monitors accounts, maintains logs and records, and prepares reports for one or more companies. Communicates with both vendors and internal customers regarding account status and follow up on special requests. Knowledge with MS Queries analyzing vendor history, invoice status and payment status. Performs various clerical duties to provide general assistance as required. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:High school diploma or equivalent and accounting courses resulting in basic knowledge of one or more accounting functions (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.)At least 4 years of related work experience.Excel experience (pivots and formulas desired)Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesOne or more accounting functions (e.g., basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll processing, etc.)Generally accepted accounting principlesMS Office Word / Excel software applicationsCompany computer systems (accounts payable, general ledger, etc.)Use of basic office equipment and machinery (PCs, copiers, etc.)Project/assignment management techniques and proceduresRelevant division concepts, procedures, and regulationsSkill and ability to:Act in accordance with GSF’s Values and CreedProven time management and prioritization skillsWork effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer serviceRead and process written information with a high degree of accuracyIdentify problems or irregularities for early resolutionCommunicate and articulate effectively with internal and external customersCompensation: $25.00 - $29.00/ HourWHY JOIN US Golden State Foods (GSF) is one of the largest diversified suppliers in the food industry, manufacturing a range of products including sauces, dressings, condiments, syrups, and toppings for leading restaurant and retail brands.
