Job description

Mechanical AssemblerBLADE (HDT) is currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers for 1st shift or weekend shift positions at our Cincinnati, OH facility. Weekend shift hours are Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with shift differential.The primary function of this position is to be responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned machineryPerforms advanced-level assembly functions, which may include; prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within ProductionInstallation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipmentInterprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructionsFollows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allottedAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedEDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum of five years of manufacturing related experience preferredExperience with hand and power tools requiredAbility to read blueprints preferredMust be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 75 lbsAbility to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rulesAbility and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekendDisclaimer: This job description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required for this role.What WE offer:Employees (and their families) are covered by Medical, Dental and VisionEmployees are covered by Short-Term and Long-Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance, Paid 100% by the companyCompany matching 401(k) plan10 standard holidays, plus one floating holidayPTOThis position requires access to, or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
