Role Description The Sr. Bookkeeper role at Maeva Dental Advisors is a full-time, Hybrid position based in Wilbraham, MA. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities for dental practices, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledgers. The Sr. Bookkeeper prepares and reviews financial statements, reconciles bank and credit card accounts, and monitors accounts payable and receivable. The position includes working with accounting software (QBO and ) to generate reports, support month-end and year-end closing, and provide clear financial documentation for advisory and tax purposes. The Sr. Bookkeeper collaborates with practice leadership and internal team members to ensure compliant, timely, and reliable financial records.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Bookkeeping and Finance, with experience managing day-to-day transactional accounting for small or mid-sized businesses.

Ability to spot workflow optimization opportunities and identify process efficiencies using AI and other analytical software

Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret Financial Statements to support decision-making and advisory recommendations.

Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and accurate posting of Journal Entries (Accounting) in a structured general ledger environment.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple clients or entities simultaneously.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience in healthcare or dental practice accounting is preferred but not required. xhqgsiq

Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
