TITLE

Sr. Continuous Improvement Leader – Lean

SUMMARY

Drive multi-site operational excellence for a growing defense technology manufacturer that delivers advanced maritime and undersea systems to allied navies around the world. In this role, you will lead the design and deployment of an enterprise lean operating system and playbook across multiple U.S.-based facilities, partnering closely with site and corporate leadership. You will blend hands‑on continuous improvement with leader development to improve flow, quality, and cost in a complex, regulated environment.

YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

Have led complex lean and Six Sigma improvement projects in manufacturing, delivering measurable gains in cost, quality, delivery, and safety.

Bring deep, practical experience with policy deployment, value stream mapping, daily management, standard work, and visual management to build a strong operating rhythm.

Are comfortable coaching leaders and cross‑functional teams through Gemba walks, tiered meetings, kaizen events, and structured problem solving in a hands‑on way.

Can design and roll out a lean playbook across multiple sites, aligning leaders to common standards while adapting tools for different value streams.

WHAT YOU GET:

The challenge of architecting and implementing a multi-site lean operating system that directly impacts mission‑critical defense programs.

The opportunity to grow into broader operational excellence leadership as the company scales and matures its continuous improvement culture.

Competitive compensation with strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, and family leave.

A people‑focused, inclusive culture where leaders value collaboration, respect, and developing future leaders in a high‑impact defense environment.

TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU’LL NEED:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a technical field and roughly 10+ years of progressive operations experience, including at least 5 years in lean leadership roles. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance are mandatory for this role, along with demonstrated mastery of current lean tools and principles in a manufacturing setting.

Salary: $160,000 – 200,000
