Job Summary:
A Sr. Designer, 3D Visualization + Motion is an animator, 3D visualization and post-production expert who brings visuals and narratives to life in an array of motion-based deliverables and contributes to the development of our brand within the space. With strong proficiencies in 2D + 3D animation and video/audio editing software, this individual can move fluidly between tool sets to create ideas and concepts that successfully convey the creative message or meaning. This individual can also tackle complex technical challenges while developing look and feel and assets accordingly.
To accomplish this task, the Sr. Designer, 3D Visualization + Motion functions organizationally within Creative Network (reporting to Creative Director or Associate Creative Director) while operating within project-based teams alongside Designers, Art Directors and Creative Directors. These teams will craft creative ideas into compelling, customer-centric stories that deliver on Abbott's purpose and promise.
In addition to high-level execution, the Sr. Designer, 3D Visualization + Motion is responsible for contributing ideas and visuals that are creative, surprising and on-brand with minimal internal course-correction. They support project management with experience in cost estimating and production pipeline management. They support projects from concepting and pitching to development and delivery and develop and execute creative solutions to meet the needs of Abbott's marketing and brand teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage; create enterprise motion graphics projects, technically and creatively.
Create, develop and execute compelling and innovative videos for multiple forms of multimedia.
Contribute to the development of the brand look and feel for Abbott's 3D creative visuals.
Contribute to the development of best practices to produce 3D renderings of Abbott products.
Create 3D visuals of Abbott products and related concepts, and produce photography and videography with these 3D renders.
Create accurate and/or stylized 3D animations of medical procedures or concepts.
Create concepts for 3D graphics and illustrations.
Work on 3D visualization and motion projects from initial concepts to delivery.
Manage multiple projects in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
Provide production estimates based on project scope.
Remain informed of industry standards within motion design and software.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Generate creative, innovative ideas in a short time frame.
Qualifications:
5+ years of motion design experience within an internal or external agency.
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design or related field.
Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365 applications and project management systems.
Proficient in 3D animation software, including Cinema4D.
Strong portfolio/reel.
