This leader will help shape NetApp's future operating model by leveraging enterprise applications, AI, automation, and digital capabilities to accelerate enterprise transformation, improve business performance, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leaders, bringing an external perspective on emerging technologies, enterprise platforms, AI innovation, intelligent automation, and industry best practices. NetApp seeks a collaborative, forward-looking leader who can build a service‑oriented organization recognized by the business as a trusted partner for innovation, operational excellence, and measurable business impact.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the enterprise applications portfolio supporting Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and related business capabilities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, IT strategy, security requirements, and enterprise architecture.

Define and lead the multi‑year enterprise applications strategy, including future‑state architecture, platform modernization, application rationalization, AI integration, and business capability roadmaps.

Partner with senior business and IT leaders to define priorities, evaluate trade‑offs, align investments, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Product Operating Model & Governance

Define and evolve the operating model governing how business functions and IT jointly prioritize, fund, govern, deliver, and continuously improve enterprise application capabilities.

Establish clear decision rights, accountability models, governance processes, investment frameworks, and performance measures across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, and AI organizations.

Establish a product‑based approach across the enterprise applications portfolio, emphasizing product vision, roadmap management, adoption, user experience, value realization, and continuous optimization.

Delivery & Operational Excellence

Lead global teams responsible for business relationship management, requirements definition, solution architecture, application development, integration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement.

Partner with enterprise architecture, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to modernize, simplify, secure, and scale the enterprise applications ecosystem.

AI, Automation & Digital Transformation

Drive adoption of AI‑enabled tools, intelligent automation, predictive insights, and workflow optimization across enterprise applications and business processes.

Launch and oversee AI pilots and transformation programs in partnership with data, security, legal, architecture, and business leaders to ensure responsible, compliant, and value‑driven adoption.

Identify opportunities to improve business performance through process simplification, automation, analytics, and modern digital capabilities.

Outside‑In Innovation & Technology Leadership

Continuously benchmark enterprise application capabilities against industry leaders, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Maintain awareness of trends in ERP modernization, AI innovation, intelligent automation, digital workflows, composable architectures, SaaS platforms, and enterprise technology ecosystems.

Translate external insights and market intelligence into actionable strategies that improve agility, employee experience, operational efficiency, and enterprise competitiveness.

Serve as a thought leader across enterprise technology disciplines while helping shape NetApp's long‑term digital transformation agenda.

Vendor & Talent Leadership

Manage strategic vendor and implementation partner relationships, including contract negotiation, roadmap alignment, performance management, service levels, and delivery outcomes.

Recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing leaders and teams, including managers, architects, analysts, developers, service managers, product leaders, and AI‑enabled application talent.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and customer‑focused service delivery.

Job Requirements

10+ years of relevant technology, enterprise applications, ERP, or business systems experience, including 5+ years of people management responsibility.

Proven experience leading enterprise applications teams across multiple business functions, ideally including Finance, Supply Chain, HR and Legal and related domains.

5+ years of experience with Oracle ERP implementations, lifecycle management, integrations, enhancements, and support; Oracle ERP Cloud experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead through managers, senior technical leaders, employees, contractors, vendors, and implementation partners in a global or matrixed environment.

Strong understanding of enterprise application strategy, SaaS/cloud platforms, integration architecture, data flows, application lifecycle management, and operational support.

Experience identifying, launching, or scaling AI‑enabled tools, automation programs, analytics capabilities, or intelligent workflow solutions.

Knowledge of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, PaaS, SaaS, cloud computing, and digital technologies.

Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms and influence senior stakeholders.

Experience with SOX, GDPR, audit controls, data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain high‑performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement.
