Director of Operations
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing company in the Spartanburg, SC area, is seeking a Director of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across North American manufacturing operations! This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced operations leader with a strong background in manufacturing, lean operations, financial performance, quality, safety, and talent development.
Director Of Operations Job Summary
Pay: $123,000-$165,000 annually
Provide leadership and strategic direction for Operations across North America
Deliver overall financial and P&L commitments for North American Operations
Develop and implement a lean operating culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Ensure manufacturing operations meet customer production, quality, and performance requirements
Lead and support new program launches and ongoing operational improvement initiatives
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure Team Members follow established safety procedures and expectations
Ensure quality policies, procedures, and standard work processes are consistently followed
Evaluate complex business challenges and direct the development of innovative solutions
Develop talent and strengthen the Operations team to support future succession planning
Lead strategic planning, project management, and organizational development initiatives
Collaborate with leadership teams and manufacturing facilities to achieve business objectives
Director Of Operations Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred
7+ years of prior management experience required
Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is required
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
Experience with financial performance and P&L responsibility
Strong strategic planning, project management, and organizational development skills
Ability to analyze complex information and communicate it effectively to others
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to influence organizations and drive operational change
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willingness and ability to travel to manufacturing facilities and customer locations as needed
Must be comfortable working in both a professional office environment and on the manufacturing floor
Must follow all required PPE and safety requirements while on the manufacturing floor
