nPosition Overview:

nAs a member of the external reporting team, you will primarily support the preparation of SEC filings and provide technical accounting support across the organization. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert on accounting standards, reporting requirements, and company policies while partnering across functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to manage reporting processes, implement new standards, and enhance controls. Additionally, you will help shape evolving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures.

nKey Responsibilities:

nFinancial Reporting

nnnPrepare external reports (10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, 8-K, S-D) in compliance with SEC requirements.

n

nnPartner with Accounting, FP&A, IR, Tax, Treasury, IA, and other teams to gather and validate reporting data.

n

nnSupport preparation and review of quarterly earnings materials with Investor Relations.

n

nnMaintain and execute internal controls over financial reporting.

n

nnAssist with external audit coordination, including quarterly reviews and annual audits.

n

nnSupport enhancements to financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and compliance.

n

n nTechnical Accounting & Policy

nnnProvide guidance on U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements (SEC, FASB).

n

nnResearch, document, and support accounting for complex transactions.

n

nnMonitor new accounting standards, assess impact, and assist with implementation.

n

nnDevelop and maintain company-wide accounting policies and procedures.

n

n nESG Reporting

nnnAssist with ESG regulatory filings, including data collection, content development, and assurance support.

n

nnPartner with ESG leadership and stakeholders to establish and standardize reporting processes and controls.

n

n nDesired Competencies:

nnnTechnical / Functional Expertise: You apply the required technical or professional knowledge to perform your role effectively and stay current within your area of expertise.

n

nnCommunication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment.

n

nnCritical Thinking: You analyze information objectively, evaluate options, and apply sound judgment to solve problems and make informed decisions.

n nQualifications:

nnnBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

n

nnActive CPA certification required. (or actively pursuing)

n

nnMinimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience required, with public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience preferred.

n

nnDemonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting concepts; familiarity with ESG or sustainability reporting frameworks is a plus.

n

nnUnderstanding of PCAOB standards, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), COSO frameworks, and internal control concepts.

n

nnProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with XBRL and SEC EDGAR filing systems is a plus.

n

nnAbility to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

n

nnStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization.

n

nnMinimal travel expected.

n

nnThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.

n nThe starting pay range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
