Job TitleMedicine Associate/Sr Formulation TechnicianWork ScheduleThird Shift (Nights)Environmental ConditionsAdherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materialsJob DescriptionAs part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you'll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.How Will You Make an Impact?The Medicine Associate/Sr Formulation Technician will be responsible for manufacturing a quality fill material for use in our encapsulation process.A Day in the LifeRead and adhere to workplace procedures such as SOPs, Batch Records, cGMP's, and MSDS memos.Retrieve, weigh, identify, mix, and store raw materials.Cleans equipment and performs all other cleaning duties in area.Manufactures Neat fills/blends, complex batches, document tank vacuum checks and mix fill tanks.Produces quality fill material including simple potent compounds for use in our encapsulation department utilizing multiple types of equipment and processes.Operate specialized medicine equipment.May operate forklift.Processes hormone, potent and DEA materialsQualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent required.ExperienceRequired: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related fieldPreferred: Experience in a cGMP environmentPreferred: Pallet Jack and Forklift experienceKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written skillsAbility to interpret data, perform basic calculations and troubleshooting skills.The ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation.Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.Must be able to work overtime as necessary.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentMust be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.Close and color vision is required.What We OfferCompensationCompetitive Hourly Pay RateAdditional shift differential for night shift positionAnnual performance-based bonusAnnual merit performance-based increaseExcellent Benefits!Benefits & Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher ScientificMedical, Dental, & Vision benefits-effective Day 1Paid Time Off & Designated Paid HolidaysRetirement Savings PlanTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusCareer Advancement OpportunitiesOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
