Job Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Graphics Software Engineer to support the development and optimization of real-time Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) rendering systems for avatar and XR applications running directly on Android and edge devices, including smartphones and AR glasses. The role is highly hands-on and focused on GPU programming, Vulkan, modern C++, mobile GPU optimization, shader development, memory efficiency, and real-time rendering performance.
The engineer will work closely with XR, computer vision, graphics, and avatar teams to improve performance-critical rendering systems running on Qualcomm Snapdragon/Adreno platforms.

Client is looking for a Graphics Software Engineer to develop and optimize high-performance graphics and GPU software for real-time rendering, computer vision, avatar, and XR applications.
The engineer will work on graphics software running directly on devices, with a strong focus on Vulkan, C/C++, GPU optimization, rendering performance, shaders, memory efficiency, and mobile/embedded platforms. Experience with Gaussian Splatting, Android, XR/AR, Qualcomm Adreno/Snapdragon GPUs is highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities
Graphics & GPU Development Design, develop, implement, and optimize GPU-based graphics software, features, drivers, APIs, and tools.
Develop high-performance graphics applications using C/C++.
Work with Vulkan rendering pipelines, compute shaders, synchronization, descriptor sets, GPU memory, and GPU-driven rendering.
Optimize graphics code for performance, latency, memory usage, and different hardware platforms.
Real-Time Rendering & Gaussian Splatting Develop and optimize Dynamic Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) rendering pipelines.
Improve sorting, data layout, shader efficiency, and overall rendering performance.
Troubleshoot rendering issues such as flickering, popping, sorting inconsistencies, and CPU/GPU precision differences.
Support real-time rendering for avatar, XR, and computer vision applications.
GPU & Mobile Optimization Optimize graphics pipelines for mobile and embedded GPUs.
Work with constraints involving memory, bandwidth, power, thermal performance, and latency.
Optimize CPU-to-GPU data transfers and reduce unnecessary processing and memory overhead.
Analyze GPU bottlenecks, frame timing, memory bandwidth, synchronization stalls, and CPU/GPU overlap.
Shader Development Develop and optimize graphics and compute shaders.
Work with technologies such as GLSL, HLSL, SPIR-V, and Vulkan.
Optimize GPU compute operations including sorting, culling, binning, blending, prefix sums, and parallel processing.
Debugging & Validation Debug complex graphics and GPU performance issues.
Use profiling and debugging tools to identify performance bottlenecks.
Perform pre- and post-silicon testing across simulation, emulation, and on-device environments.
Validate graphics output against reference implementations.
Investigate GPU/CPU inconsistencies and numerical precision issues.
Collaboration Collaborate with graphics, computer vision, XR, avatar, and other engineering teams.
Contribute to on-device prototypes and demonstrations.
Document technical designs and feature implementations.
Work with stakeholders to implement and customize graphics functionality.
