Job description
CrowdStrike is hiring a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer for its AIDR Engineering Team, supporting high-throughput, low-latency LLM inferencing. The role combines LLM post-training and data engineering aligned to rigorous evaluations, with engineering collaboration to help enable safe and secure enterprise AI application interactions.
Responsibilities
Apply state-of-the-art machine learning approaches to accelerate data science delivery.
Provide pragmatic engineering support to fast-moving research and development teams.
Implement high-quality solutions that support customer-facing applications at scale.
Perform in-depth analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities or gaps.
Construct and maintain data pipelines, contributing to the training and implementation of custom models.
Collaborate across teams to brainstorm, define, and develop solutions.
Commit to ongoing learning and self-improvement.
Stay aligned with customer challenges and continuously seek ways to improve support.
Maintain top-tier coding quality through best practices, rigorous testing, and thorough logging and metrics.
Work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment.
Mentor fellow engineers across a spectrum of technologies and absorb knowledge from them.
Explore improvements to product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and reliability.
Own work end to end with autonomy, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements
Prior experience in data engineering and architecture supporting advanced data science use cases.
Deep understanding of LLM post-training methods and computational architectures.
Knowledge of scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
Team player mindset.
Strong engineering fundamentals, spanning testing approaches, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
Ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, iterative development environment.
Proven ability to meet commitments on time and deliver high-quality software with unit testing, code review, and regular checks-in for continuous integration.
Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

Role Details
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (remote)
Compensation: USD 164,000 - 295,000 per yearly
