Position: Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer
Type: Onsite
Security Clearance: Secret (Interim required prior to start date, ability to obtain special program access after start). U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software implementation.
Enable customers’ success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
Work efficiently inside an established software product across programming languages and build environments.
Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with the team.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
Experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line.
Experience in electro-optics or radar processing, EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing and/or discrimination algorithms.
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU accelerated languages/architectures and scene generation/sensor modeling technologies.
Experience with electronic warfare modeling, developing signal processing algorithms for missile applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, or estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques.
Experience with real-time programming, software change management tools and processes, using and augmenting build systems (Make/CMake), and working with large production software environments.
Experience interfacing with adjacent engineering disciplines (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering).
