nThe Advance Practice Nurse is a registered nurse who provides a primary level of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team provides care to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical/psychosocial assessment, and management of health and illness in the care of individuals.
nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
nnnMaster of Science in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing
n
nnMaintain current licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program; must maintain active certification
n
nnCertification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
n
nnHolds current Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization as a provider
n
nnCurrent BCLS verification
n
nnDemonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty practice
n
nnDemonstrates leadership ability
n
nn3-5 years clinical experience
