Sr. Project EngineerBarton Malow is seeking a commercial construction project engineer to join our growing team in Richmond, VA! This role will support our project delivery team with construction projects across various service lines including sports & entertainment arenas, healthcare, higher education, and more. This position will plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and monitor on-site construction engineering activities for the project and act as liaison with architect/engineer and owner regarding project progress and changes.Responsibilities:Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issuesSupport superintendents to ensure contractors maintain schedule in the fieldProcessing of submittals and RFI'sAssist in managing project schedulePrepare meeting agendas and lead meetingsAssist with planning and managing site logisticsEnforce corporate safety policies on jobsiteReceive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change ordersManage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalitiesRequirements:4-year Engineering, Construction Management or related degree required4+ years of professional and/or related construction internship experience requiredOSHA 30 Hour preferredWell-organized, detail-oriented and ability to be self-directed to problem solve issuesStrong organizational skills applied to Document Control and Close OutStrong proactive positive attitude with commitment to Safety
