L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical in Norfolk, VA. This role is responsible for supporting the design, sustainment, and continuous improvement of electrical and electronic products used in naval shipboard communication and navigation products. This role focuses on obsolescence management, printed circuit board (PCB) redesigns, development of production test equipment, and engineering support for manufacturing operations.\ N
Essential Functions: \ N
Work closely with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and production teams to ensure products remain manufacturable, reliable, and compliant with customer and military requirements.
\ N Manage electronic component obsolescence by identifying at-risk components, evaluating replacement options, and implementing engineering solutions to maintain product availability.
\ N Design, update, troubleshoot, and maintain production and engineering test fixtures used for manufacturing, qualification, and acceptance testing.
\ N Perform PCB respins to address component obsolescence, design improvements, manufacturability enhancements, and defect corrections while maintaining form, fit, and function.
\ N Create and modify electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
\ N Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for electrical failures encountered during production and testing.
\ N Develop and execute verification and validation testing for PCB revisions and test fixture modifications.
\ N Generate and maintain engineering change orders (ECOs), bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
\ N Provide technical support to production personnel and assist in resolving manufacturing issues in a timely manner.
\ N Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications: \ N
Bachelor'sdegree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
\ N Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and board-level troubleshooting.
\ N Knowledge of electroniccomponents, component lifecycle management, and obsolescence mitigation.
\ N Experience designing ormodifying production test fixtures and automated test equipment.
\ N Familiarity with engineering documentation, BOM management, and engineering change processes.
\ N Proficiency using electronic CAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar software.
\ N Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
\ N Excellent communicationand cross-functional collaboration abilities.
\ N
Preferred Additional Skills: \ N
Experiencesupporting military, defense or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
\ N Knowledge of Design forManufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT), and IPC standards.
\ N Experience with microcontroller-based designs.
\ N Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
\ N Experience supporting military qualification testing and environmental testing.
\ N
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $84,000- $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
