Senior Staff Accountant
Bergen County, NJ | 100% On-Site | Temp to Permanent/Direct Hire | $65,000 - $80,000

A well-established manufacturing company in Bergen County is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a blend of operational accounting, month-end responsibilities, and process improvement within a stable and growing organization.
What You'll Do
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
Maintain the general ledger and journal entries
Support financial reporting and variance analysis
Assist with inventory and manufacturing-related accounting activities
Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
Partner with operations, purchasing, and other departments on accounting matters
Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls
Support audits and special projects as needed
Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience
Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
Proficiency with Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
Experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
