Job description
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts, for assigned business units.
Prepare journal entries and maintain detailed supporting schedules and documentation.
Perform bank reconciliations and prepare related supporting schedules.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Analyze and explain variances within Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for accounting leadership.
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of internal controls, including risk identification, mitigation, and prevention.
Prepare and file applicable sales tax returns for assigned business units.
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and related accounting records.
Maintain and reconcile assigned monthly Balance Sheet accounts.
Prepare and analyze monthly prepaid expense amortization schedules.
Provide support during year-end audits and banking-related audit procedures.
Work outside normal business hours as needed to meet month-end, year-end, and audit deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
Public accounting experience and/or CPA certification is a plus.
Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and numerical abilities.
Strong understanding of financial calculations, including figures, percentages, and account analysis.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
