Job description
A well-established leader in the specialty metals and industrial distribution industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, established organization and gain broad exposure across general accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, and fixed assets .

Key Responsibilities
Prepare account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
Reconcile intercompany accounts and support month-end close
Assist with monthly financial reporting
Administer company purchase card accounts and review employee expenses
Support cash application, fixed assets, and audit preparation
Prepare and review property tax, sales tax, annual reports, licenses, and other regulatory filings
Assist with federal and state tax activities
Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP and company policies
Manage special projects and other accounting deliverables
Qualifications xavwley
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong Microsoft Office/computer skills
Experience with an ERP system preferred
