Staff Accountant
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
Serve as a trusted Staff Accountant responsible for timely and accurate reconciliations across bank accounts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers
Prepare and maintain detailed financial schedules to support month-end close and financial statement preparation
Ensure documentation integrity and regulatory compliance throughout an active accounting system conversion
Partner with leadership as a proactive Staff Accountant to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend process improvements
Support accounts payable, payroll, and departmental accounting schedules as business needs dictate
Maintain high standards of accuracy and internal controls while balancing competing priorities during periods of change
Requirements of the Staff Accountant
3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role, with strong exposure to GL accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries
Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios
Intermediate Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
Proven ability to work independently as a Staff Accountant while communicating clearly with finance leadership and cross-functional partners
Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and adaptability in evolving accounting environments
