Staff Accountant (42929)

Our client is an organization in the Ozaukee County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, has excellent communication skills, and is organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and competitive benefits. This position is hybrid after training is completed.

The salary for this position is up to $65K - $80K.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, cash application, collections, and account research.

Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash flow reporting.

Assist with tax and compliance reporting, including sales/use tax, GST/HST, property tax, 1099s, audits, and annual tax support.

Manage travel and expense activity while maintaining accurate, organized accounting records and documentation.

Prepare financial reports, analyze account activity, and support budgeting, forecasting, and special accounting projects.

Provide backup support for customer service and administrative functions, including order entry, customer inquiries, phones, mail, and front desk coverage.

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

2+ years of AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliation, or month-end close experience.

Comfortable supporting clerical and customer service tasks as needed.

Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to work independently.

SAP, ERP, tax, or compliance experience helpful but not required.
