Job description
Early Childhood Center Staff AssistantMinimum Qualifications High School Diploma preferred Experience within the childcare profession preferredEssential Duties And Responsibilities Assist in providing a learning environment for children that encourages imagination and self-discovery using hands-on activities Ensure a comfortable, clean, and safe environment for children Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with the students, parents, and staff Work a flexible schedule, which at times includes early and late hours Keep the director informed of all pertinent information regarding phases of the center's programs Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate records, such as attendance, lunch counts, daily reports, and accident/illness reports Substitute for classroom teacher when needed Complete twelve clock hours of child-related training at the center per calendar year Any other duties as assignedTerms: $17.35+ per hour with possible steps for experience; Full-time with benefits; 9-month contract Effective: Immediately Screening To Begin: Immediately; open until filled Classification: Non-exempt Recommendation to be given at the October 2026 Board Of Education MeetingNotice Of Nondiscrimination: The Meramec Valley R-III School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, disability, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law in the admission, access to, treatment, and employment in its programs, services and activities.
