Job description
Velocity Tech has partnered with an exciting Health Tech company in the US who are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join.
This role is fully remote with no expectation of travel. You must be based in the US,
Responsibilities;
Designand own scalable, production-grade data architectures on GCP
Lead the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data stack tools
Build and optimise data warehouses and lakehouse architectures (e.G. BigQuery)
Establish best practices in data modelling, governance, and data quality
Requirements;
8+ years in data engineering or related field, with experience at Staff or Senior level
Strong experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer)
Expertise in Python and SQL for data processing and pipeline development
Experience building distributed data systems and handling large-scale datasets
Strong understanding of data modelling techniques (e.G. dimensional modelling)
Experience with orchestration tools (e.G. Airflow / Cloud Composer)
Solid understanding of streaming and batch data processing
