Role
Staff Engineer specializing in agronomic and geospatial data processing, based in St. Louis, MO, with telecommuting and up to 25% travel.
Responsibilities
process and analyze agronomic data
design REST/GraphQL APIs using Java, Clojure, Scala, and implement data systems on Azure, AWS, and GCP
analyze weather, soil, and crop data for in-season insights
support system migration and AI integration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field
3+ years in agronomic or crop science environments
experience with MRMS, AHPS, PRISM, GHCN, ERA5, Java, Clojure, Scala, Python, GCP BigQuery, and cloud deployment
Preferred
familiarity with AI/ML tools like GitHub CoPilot
High-Value: agronomic and geospatial data, cloud-based processing, microservices architecture, weather and crop datasets, B2B and B2C workflows, telecommuting flexibility, travel up to 25%.
