About This Role
The Staff Nurse in Interventional Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to patients, utilizing nursing theory and research. This role is ideal for registered nurses who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
Deliver patient care through the application of the nursing process based on theory and evidence-based practice.
Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate supply utilization.
Document nursing practice accurately to support quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in shared decision-making through nursing committees and initiatives.
Requirements
Education:
BSN required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
Experience:
Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current RN License in New York State
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Critical Care background preferred
