UI Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 50% Staff Nurse to work in the North Dodge REI Clinic .
Sign‑On Incentive
Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 to work at the Women’s Health Clinic – North Dodge Street location.
Position Summary
Asses patients' nursing care needs, evaluate effectiveness of care provided, and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice. Provide leadership to members of the nursing team to maintain patient care standards.
Duties To Include
Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness.
Assesses patient health care preferences and expectations.
Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings.
Develops patient care plans based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic factors that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Implements patient care plans according to patient priorities, documenting interventions and responses.
Collaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plans.
Develops, coordinates, and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout the episode of care.
Implements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, following universal precautions.
Education
An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Health Care Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
Required Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa by the date of hire.
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of OBGYN nursing experience.

Compensation
Pay Level: 52
Salary:
$61,183 minimum at 100% effort, adjusted based on experience and effort.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8‑hour shifts with varying report times; includes weekend and holiday coverage (up to 1–2 weekends a month and 1 holiday a year).
Location: 1360 North Dodge Street.
