Job description
This role is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist or recent graduate ready to contribute to a dynamic hospital environment. Situated in the San Francisco area, this contract position offers a chance to work in a busy hospital setting supporting patient care alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy workflow
Consulting with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers regarding medication therapies
Utilizing technologies such as EPIC and Pyxis for pharmacy operations
Desired Qualifications: Active California pharmacist license preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Experience or familiarity with hospital pharmacy procedures
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare setting
Schedule and Contract Details: Variable days and afternoon shifts to accommodate hospital needs
Immediate start date
Length of assignment: 13 weeks or more
