Job description
An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in a grocery store setting in South Dakota. This role involves providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and ensuring smooth workflow within a fast-paced retail environment.
Location: South Dakota
Assignment: 13+ week contract
Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week
Pharmacy Hours:
Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Responsibilities: Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety
Review and oversee the work of pharmacy technicians
Provide comprehensive patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
Respond professionally to pharmacy and patient phone inquiries
Assist in daily retail pharmacy operations and inventory management
Support the Pharmacist-in-Charge with additional tasks and compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications: Active South Dakota Pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a retail pharmacy setting
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the pharmacy team
