Position: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Fresno, CA
Type: 12-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire
Start: ASAP
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM
Weekends: None
License: Active California Pharmacist License
Experience: Retail pharmacy experience will be considered
Responsibilities Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications
Counsel patients on medications, side effects, dosage, and drug interactions
Monitor medication compliance and potential overuse patterns
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff
Maintain appropriate medication and supply inventory
Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers
Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, interns, and other members of the healthcare team
Educate patients on proper use of medical devices
Provide patient services such as blood pressure measurement and cholesterol management
