nAbout the Role:
nHealthWealth Pharmacy in Houston, TX is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our 503A compounding pharmacy team. nResponsibilities:
nCompound, verify, and dispense 503A patient-specific compounded medications in compliance with USP standards and state regulations
nReview and validate prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance
nCollaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers to optimize individualized patient therapy
nSupervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily compounding operations
nMaintain accurate patient profiles, compounding logs, and documentation in the pharmacy management system
nEnsure adherence to quality assurance protocols, beyond-use dating (BUD), and sterile/non-sterile compounding guidelines
nCounsel patients on proper medication use, storage, and potential side effects
nRequirements:
nDoctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
nActive and unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License (RPh)
nMulti- state licensure is a plus
nIV compounding experience (preferred)
nKnowledge of cGMP regulations as it pertains to 21 CFR 210, 21 CFR 211, and USP standards.
nExperience in 503A/B compounding pharmacy, including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
nStrong knowledge of USP , , and guidelines
nFamiliarity with PCAB accreditation standards is a plus
nExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
nStrong communication and patient counseling skills
