Job description
Pharmacists are needed for retail pharmacy positions in Upstate New York, specifically in the Johnson City area. These contract roles provide an opportunity to apply your pharmaceutical expertise in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Location: Johnson City, NY (Upstate New York)
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, flexible shifts as required
Contract duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension
Responsibilities: Accurately verify and fill prescriptions according to regulatory standards
Provide counseling and education to patients on medication usage and safety
Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians' workflow and performance
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications: Active New York State Pharmacist License required
Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
