Job description
A retail pharmacist opportunity is available at a busy pharmacy located on a healthcare campus in Kalamazoo, MI. This role offers experience in a fast-paced retail setting where you will manage a high volume of prescriptions daily, delivering essential pharmaceutical care and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and fill 600-700 prescriptions daily with accuracy and attention to safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety tips
Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the campus setting to support patient care
Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in Michigan with a valid Controlled Substance License
Minimum 1 year of practical retail pharmacy experience
Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and regulations
Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
Location: Kalamazoo, MI, situated within a hospital campus retail pharmacy
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
This is a contract position providing exposure to a high-volume retail pharmacy environment with opportunities to support patient health on a prominent medical campus.
