Job description
Pharmacy professionals are sought for a contract position in a busy hospital setting located in the San Mateo area. Contract Length: 13+ weeks
Schedule: Variable days and afternoon shifts
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring smooth workflow
Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and safety
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for order entry and medication dispensing
Desired Qualifications: Valid California Pharmacist License preferred (newer graduates encouraged to apply)
Pharmacy staff experience with prescription verification
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
