Job description
A Specialty Retail pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers hands-on practice in both sterile and non-sterile compounding, supporting patient care within a focused pharmacy setting. The position operates Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, including a one-hour lunch break, over a 13-week period with potential for direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding according to pharmacy standards
Manage order entry using PK software (training provided)
Ensure compliance with state regulations and pharmacy policies
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain a safe, efficient work environment
Qualifications: Valid North Carolina pharmacy license
Minimum 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
Experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding highly desirable
Ability to learn and utilize PK order entry system
Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach
Schedule: Monday through Friday
9:00 am to 6:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break
