Job description
A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join their established team. This role is perfect for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys delivering excellent patient care. The pharmacy processes approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly and operates with robust technician support.
Location:
Mount Sterling, Kentucky
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Responsibilities: Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
Provide counseling and answer patient medication questions
Oversee pharmacy workflow and coordinate with technician support
Utilize PioneerRx system for managing prescriptions
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Support daily operations within a busy retail pharmacy setting
Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and pharmacy team
Assist with Saturday shifts as scheduled
Qualifications: Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software preferred
Ability to manage workload efficiently in a high-volume environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
