Job description
A healthcare facility in Pickerington, OH, seeks two licensed pharmacists for inpatient hospital pharmacy roles on a contract basis from late May through mid-August 2026. This opportunity requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage medication verification and compounding oversight in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently
Provide oversight for sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes
Respond to and participate in medical codes as necessary
Support nursing and provider staff with medication management guidance
Dispense medications and provide patient education when needed
Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians who assist with medication preparation and delivery
Qualifications and Experience: Valid Ohio Pharmacist license required
Demonstrated inpatient hospital experience
Proficiency or willingness to train on Cerner (EHR) and Pyxis (Automated Dispensing Cabinets)
Knowledge of pharmacotherapy, antibiotic and renal dosing principles
Experience with Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Coverage includes every 6th weekend
