Job description
A behavioral health facility in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide essential coverage while their Director of Pharmacy is on leave. This contract role starts immediately and will last approximately eight weeks, offering an opportunity to support a specialized pharmacy team in a unique clinical environment.
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Position Type: Contract (8 weeks)
Schedule:
Mondays, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM weekly
August 3rd - 7th, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily
Potential additional weekday coverage to support pharmacist staff
Preferred Experience: Acute care or behavioral health pharmacy experience
Alaska pharmacist license (required)
Responsibilities: Order entry using HCS Web EMR (onsite training provided)
Medication verification and Omnicell system checks (trained onsite)
Drug monitoring to ensure patient safety
Collaborate closely with pharmacy technician distribution support
Flexible to support on-call coverage if needed
Work Environment: Behavioral health specialty areas include pediatrics and detox
Small, focused pharmacy team support
Additional Details: Business casual dress code
Onsite training available before shift start
Travel expense may be considered for out-of-area candidates
