Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Job Summary

We build the automation, infrastructure, and validation systems that bring new computing platforms to life at scale! Our team lives at the intersection of hardware and software, turning tough engineering challenges into reliable, repeatable workflows. When a new platform needs to be provisioned, orchestrated, and qualified, we're the ones who make it happen—and we genuinely enjoy the work. As our Staff Platform Integration Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind getting emerging platforms ready for scaled testing and qualification. This is a software-focused role: you'll blend hands‑on development, infrastructure engineering, and technical leadership to build the systems our engineers depend on every day. You'll work with firmware integration points and build a working understanding of incoming hardware capabilities—while our dedicated hardware team owns the physical handling and debug. If you like solving problems that span software, automation, and firmware integration, this is a role where your work directly advances our most meaningful achievements.

Responsibilities

Integrate new computing platforms into automation, provisioning, observability, and test orchestration ecosystems through software and firmware integration points

Design and maintain full‑stack applications, APIs, automation services, and operational tooling

Build infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, and platform provisioning workflows

Partner with collaborators on platform requirements and qualification schedules while coordinating technical readiness across engineering fields

Solve sophisticated software, automation, and infrastructure issues, using AI‑assisted and agentic coding tools to speed delivery

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience developing and supporting software applications, automation platforms, DevOps solutions, or infrastructure systems in sophisticated engineering environments.

3+ years of experience designing, deploying, or supporting containerized applications and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar technologies.

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and software delivery workflows in a production or engineering environment.

Experience leading technical initiatives and collaborating across multiple engineering teams to deliver software, automation, or platform solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in public cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure, including deployment, automation, and operational support.

Proficiency with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript development, REST APIs, and Linux‑based environments.

Experience designing or supporting cloud‑native architectures, distributed systems, or clustered environments.

Experience with workflow orchestration, observability, or monitoring platforms such as Temporal, HashiCorp Nomad, Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve software delivery and engineering efficiency.
