Position Title
Staff Psychiatrist, CF (Safety) – Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF), Corcoran, CA.
Job Summary
Under general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist, the Staff Psychiatrist in Mental Health Services is a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates. The staff psychiatrist performs psychiatric evaluations, participates in treatment planning and case reviews, prescribes medications, provides crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and offers consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and comprehensive clinical assessments for inmates.
Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary case reviews.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medication regimes.
Provide crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and supportive counseling.
Offer consultations and training on treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility and state regulations.
Qualifications
MD or Psychiatrist license in California.
Current certification in Psychiatry or related field.
Minimum experience in correctional or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Benefits and Compensation
Authorized HAM rate: $30,259 or $31,136.
Pay differential of 15% for direct patient care on premises for those assigned to inpatient care.
Eligible for recruitment and retention stipend of up to $10,000 one-time and up to $5,000 monthly differential during first year.
Eligible for $5,000 referral bonus for current employees who remain employed 90 days.
