Staff Support AssistantHourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Location: Glenbrook with the ability to float to Evanston, Highland Park and Skokie HospitalsPart Time (32 hrs/wk)Hours: As needed 8a - 4:30p M-FWhat you will do:Responds to the immediate needs of the patient by answering patient call lights promptly and courteously.As directed, by RN, makes hourly or more frequent rounds on patients for safety, comfort, and meeting patients' needs/requestsPositions, lifts, transfers, and ambulates patients as directed by the RNAssist with setting up meals for patients and ordering mealsKeeps patient rooms tidy, refreshes patient's linen as need, removes unnecessary equipment and linenAssists patient with simple hygiene/comfort measures such as washing hands/face and oral careAs directed by the RN, transports patient to other departments or when patient being dischargeWhen directed by the RN, remains with the patient continuously for patient safety.Handles infectious waste and linen according to established hospital procedureAdheres to proper infection control standards and hand washing techniques to avoid cross contaminationCleans and disinfects unit specific equipment"Runner" to other departments, when needed to obtain necessary items for patient careBenefits (For full time or part time positions):Premium pay such as shift, on call, holiday and more based on an employee's job (For eligible positions)Incentive pay for select positionsOpportunity for annual increases based on performanceCareer Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and DevelopmentVarious Medical, Dental, Pet and Vision optionsTuition ReimbursementFree ParkingWellness Program Savings PlanHealth Savings Account OptionsRetirement Options with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayCommunity Involvement OpportunitiesEndeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
