Job description

Sodexo is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations in a fast-paced Starbucks café located inside of the Vail Health Hospital.

Responsibilities include supervising and coaching baristas, maintaining Starbucks standards, managing inventory, assisting with scheduling, training new team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health regulations.

This role puts you at the center of retail operations, where your ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive customer satisfaction will be key to success. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping both team performance and customer experience.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $56270 per year - $72820 per year

Solid experience managing cash handling processes and POS systems with accuracy and accountability

Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt in a fast- paced environment

A track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence

Creative thinking and a willingness to try new ideas to enhance merchandising, marketing, or customer engagement

Requirements

Education Requirement: High school/GED or equivalent or Associate’s degree or

Bachelor’s degree

Management Experience: 0-3 years

Related Experience: 0-3 years
