nCandis Inc in Roanoke, VA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated State Licensed Medication Aide (SLMA) to join our caring team. nResponsibilities:
nAdminister prescribed medications to residents accurately and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
nDocument medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
nMonitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and escalate concerns promptly
nAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care as needed
nMaintain accurate medication records and ensure proper medication storage and handling
nCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
nFollow all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols within the facility
nRequirements:
nValid Virginia State License as a Medication Aide (SLMA) required
nCurrent CNA certification preferred or required per facility guidelines
nPrior experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or residential care setting preferred
nStrong attention to detail and commitment to medication administration accuracy
nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a resident-centered approach
nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a care team
nReliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
