Job description
State Tested Nursing AssistantA leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking State Tested Nursing Assistants to join its resident care team. The organization provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care in a close-knit community setting where residents and staff know each other by name. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available across all shifts. Nurse leaders are accessible and supportive, new team members receive a structured orientation with an experienced preceptor, and the organization works hard to keep staffing steady so every shift can focus on quality care instead of constant rushing.Core ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility with dignity and respectMeasure and record vital signs, weights, and intake and output accuratelyHelp residents at mealtimes and monitor nutrition and hydrationReposition and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics and lift equipmentObserve and promptly report changes in condition, skin integrity, behavior, or mood to the nurseDocument care accurately in the electronic health record each shiftSupport short-term rehab residents in meeting their therapy and mobility goalsKeep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazardsFollow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights policiesCommunicate warmly with families and escalate concerns appropriatelyTake part in shift reports, care plan huddles, and ongoing trainingHelp residents take part in activities and daily routines that support their quality of lifeWelcome and orient new admissions and help them settle in comfortablyRequired QualificationsActive Ohio STNA certification in good standing on the Ohio Nurse Aide RegistryCurrent BLS or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hireSix months or more of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new STNAs are welcome to applyAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsClear communication skills and a genuine commitment to compassionate careAbility to pass a background check and health screeningReliable attendance and flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as scheduledBasic computer skills for electronic charting, or willingness to learnBenefits & PayPay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience and schedule.
